Sargam Music Academy is a multicultural organisation that promotes and encourages music and arts among the younger generations of the broader community. We provide Indian Classical and semi classical vocal training to children and young adults. The main objective is to retain, uphold and share our rich Indian culture, tradition, and Indian music among the younger generations of the wider community across Australia. We also provide the children with rewarding singing experiences both onstage and beyond the concert hall. Our activities focus on the provision of positive life experiences which allow our younger generations to move forward into adulthood as competent and confident human beings. The participants of Sargam Music Academy always performs the National Anthems of Australia and India in all community events.

This organisation promotes and organises music activities, such as providing vocal training, participating in various community events, running musical workshops, organising musical concerts and social events to raise funds for running the organization and for charity purposes to help the community. Sargam Music Academy has been actively participating in musical concerts to raise funds for charitable works. In the last few years, we have organised musical concerts to raise fund for the Arya Samaj building in Acacia Ridge, organised a Bollywood night in 2020 to raise funds for the Buddhist Monastery to help the Sri Lankan community. Also, during Covid we have helped the international students with free meals during the pandemic. The profits from the music concert are used for charitable purposes here and abroad.

OUR MISSION

Our mission means empowering students with the tools so their musical voices can shine. In doing so, we help our students reach new heights in their musical goals and build all the problem-solving skills that stem from a love of music. While vocal training is at the heart of the lessons here at Sargam Music Academy Australia, it is always the individual needs of each student – whether a five- year old beginner, an adult returning to the musical journey, or a budding artist – that become the focal point of our instruction. Help children from different cultural backgrounds to overcome barriers to inclusion and belonging within community. Feel a greater sense of belonging and inclusion within their local and broader community as we participate and engage students in lots of community events so that they feel supported and confident. Regular training and mentoring to support social and economic participation. Building upon their existing knowledge and skills to feel more confident within themselves and their abilities. Organise musical concerts to raise funds for charitable purposes.
